Sidescrolling Stages
On certain stages, the screen will scroll sideways.

The Player
- Use
/
to move, and 
/
to jump. You can also press / down to crawl (or crouch in narrow spaces). Use / while crawling to move left or right, and press up to return to a standing position.

Equipped Weapons/Equipment
- Press
/
to use.

Equipment Amounts
- From left to right, this shows the number of plastic explosives, rations, and oxygen tanks you have.
Switching Weapons/Equipment
Press 
to pause the game. Use / to switch between knife, handgun, or rations, then press again.
- Rations can also be used by pressing when selected.
Swimming
When you dive underwater, the oxygen gauge will appear on the left side of the screen. If you have an oxygen tank, the gauge will decrease slightly over time.
If the oxygen gauge is empty while you are underwater, your life gauge will slowly begin to decrease.
If the oxygen gauge is empty while you are underwater, your life gauge will slowly begin to decrease.
