Life Gauge
- Grows longer after you defeat certain bosses.

Message Light
- When someone calls you on the codec, a sound will play and the CALL sign will flash on the top right of the screen. Pick up the call as soon as you can. This is also where the gas trap warning ("GAS") is shown.

Weapons
- The weapon window on the right of the screen shows the weapon you're currently using, along with its remaining ammunition.

Equipment
- The equipment window on the right of the screen shows the equipment you're currently using, along with the amount remaining.
Reactive Radar
A display of nine screens, focused on the player, that show the following indicators.
- ●Red dot: You, or Dr. Marv's transmitter
- ●White dot: Enemies or mines
- ■Green frames: Map
- Mines are shown only when you equip the mine detector.

Changing Radar Display
Radar is not available in alert or evasion modes, or in small rooms and certain other areas. It also won't show enemies acting under stealth.
In alert mode, you'll see "Alert" and a life indicator on your radar. In evasion mode, you'll see "Evasion" and a countdown timer on your radar.
- When you have Stinger missiles equipped, a target is shown onscreen. Use
/
to move the target, then press
to fire a missile. You cannot move while a Stinger missile is equipped.
O2 Gauge
The O2 gauge is shown on the bottom of the screen when you're underwater or in a gas-filled area. When the O2 gauge reaches zero, your life gauge will start to deplete.
- The O2 gauge is only shown when you are in water or a gas-filled area.
