Node
In the Plant chapter, special terminals known as nodes are placed throughout the giant offshore plant known as the Big Shell. If you come across one, be sure to access it.
Accessing a node will allow you to use the map for that area, as well as change various game settings. The changes to settings made here will be reflected in the Options menu as well.
The first time you access a node in the game, the name entry screen will be displayed.
Accessing the node the first time you come across an area lets you download the map for that area. If the difficulty level is set to EASY or higher, you are unable to use your radar until you have downloaded the map.
