Dog Tags
Dog tags are identification tags that verify soldiers on the battlefield. They have each soldier's name and blood type. In this game, you can take enemy dog tags and view them underDOG TAG VIEWER.
How to Get Dog Tags
If you sneak up on an enemy and use your gun, you can hold them up at gunpoint. Using First Person View, aim at their head or waist from the front, and they will drop their dog tags.
- The neck of enemies with dog tags will glow when you hold them up. Equipping thermal goggles allows you to see the dog tags around their necks.
Conditions for Getting Dog Tags
If you have at least one dog tag, they will be added to the equipment icon. The number of dog tags you have will be recorded along with your save data. As you get more dog tags, you'll acquire bonuses.
- Even if you encounter the same enemy soldiers, the dog tags will differ across difficulties. In order to get all of the dog tags, you'll have to play all five difficulties from VERY EASY to EXTREME.
Dog Tag Names
The names that appear on the dog tags are those of the production staff at the time and the winners of the 2nd Dog Tag Name Campaign (9/1-9/30 2002) on Konami Computer Entertainment Japan's homepage.
- Names were picked from the above in addition to the 1st Dog Tag Name Campaign (March - June 2001). The campaign is not currently available as of October 2023.
