Game Overs and Continues

The game is over once Solid Snake's life runs out. The game will also end if Snake falls in certain traps or pitfalls.
Once you encounter a Game Over, the Continue Screen will be displayed.

[CONTINUE]

Allows you to continue the game from the immediately preceding Continue point. (Continue Points are notable points in game progression, such as at the start of a stage or just before a boss fight.) There is no limit to the number of Continues.

[EXIT]

Return to the title menu.
