NEW GAME
Select "NEW GAME" from the title menu to start a playthrough of the Story mode from the beginning.
The first stage will begin once you select the difficulty from "EASY," "NORMAL," "HARD," or "VERY HARD."

Clearing Stages
Story Mode is separated into multiple stages.
A results screen is displayed after clearing each stage.

| PLAY TIME | The time spent until a stage is cleared |

| BEING FOUND | The amount of times Snake was spotted by enemy units or surveillance cameras |
| ENEMIES | The number of enemies defeated |
| RATION | The number of rations used |
| RANK | Your total score for the stage |
CONTINUE
If you have a previous save, you can resume the game from your previous progress via "CONTINUE" on the title menu.
- Saving in this game refers to the preservation of conditions that existed at the time the player passed through the latest Continue Point, such as the start of a stage or just before a boss battle, immediately preceding the save.
