Hunting
Snake needs to eat in order to replenish his Stamina Gauge. He can eat plants and animals that he finds in the jungle or rations and other items that he acquires.
You can gather plants and catch animals to use for food.
Hunting and Gathering
Attack with 
or 
(if holding a weapon) to gather a plant or capture an animal and turn it into a food item. Check or eat food items from FOOD in the Survival Viewer.
The quality of food obtained from animals will change based on the attacks you use.
Using regular attacks with knives or guns will yield raw meat that spoils after a certain time. To avoid the risk of spoiled meat, you can capture living prey with tranquilizer guns or mousetraps and carry them with you (up to 3 at once).
- Some animals cannot be captured alive, and not all plants and animals will yield food items.
